I worked with Pan Macmillan publishing on a number of varied jobs over the past few years – including colour work for illustrations in the book Bad Kids – by Tony Robinson, typesetting for the teen girls book Have you started yet – by Ruth Thompson and Chloe Thompson black and white illustrations for the inside of the book Aurora – by Julie Bertanga. And most recently black and white section opener illustrations for After the Snow – by S. D. Crockett.

Curated by graphic designer and illustrator Claire Hartley, Pointe Blank is a collaboration between Birmingham Royal Ballet and graphic artists across the UK. 

Hobson's Choice – 2012 exhibition
The 2012 exhibition was inspired by the story Hobson's Choice and was required to have a link to the victorian era in some way – I incorporated this by using victorian style cameo images to represent the main characters in the story. The type in the background is hand cut and printed in lino and the forefront type is digital.

Coppélia – 2011 exhibition
The 2011 exhibition was themed around the story of Coppélia, each artist was asked to represent the story in any way they wished to.

I was invited to take part in the exhibition – my submission was a combination of 2 lino prints digitally offset. The idea behind the design was to create a layered piece each layer representing a different side to the doll main character.

YARN invited me to be part of a literary performance at Latitude Festival to visualise 4 spoken word performances based on the book 10 stories about smoking.  

We invited people to submit their own stories, illustrations and photos – from which we received a brilliant response. I was on stage for the whole set (1 hour) treating images, designing and building up the book... and trying not to look too serious! 

Cover Wars was a live illustration project initiated by Gemma Mitchell of YARN fest and myself to collaborate on the reading of Hanif Kureishi The Buddha of Suburbia (by the author himself) with a selection of illustrator's illustrating and alternative cover which was judged by the author. 

The illustrationarim was a live illustration project I produced and coordinated bringing together illustrators and story tellers. The illustrators drew the story as it was being told by the performers in a low tech over head projector. 

I produced and ran a zine workshop for Women of the World festival in 2011 at Southbank Centre the zine itself was then archived in the Women's Library. 

I produced a workshop with Print club for Yarn Fest at The Book Club to invite people to come and get involved in storytelling and watch performances, it was a busy day of teaching book binding, screen printing and we had specialist illustrators on hand to offer tips to workshop goers.

I practice Lino printing as a hobby and have used it occasionally for illustration commissions. I always like to improve my craft and enjoy the phiysical process of lino particuarly.
